Job description
The Learning & Development & Performance Lead, reporting to the HR Operations Director, oversees learning and development programs to boost employee skills and performance. They collaborate with the L&D and Talent COE to uphold quality standards and efficient administrative support for programs. The role ensures GBS L&D processes align with Global L&D Policy, works closely with HR and Business stakeholders for continuous improvement, and leads the GBS L&D Specialists team.
Main responsibilities:
Learning and Development Strategy:
- Collaborate with Group Head - Talent, Learning, and Organizational Effectiveness and Head of L&D to shape the GBS team's role in the Learning, Development, and Performance strategy.
- Provide feedback to inform strategy development and refine the direction of Learning & Development and Performance.
L&D Operations:
- Manage L&D operations for efficient learning delivery.
- Implement and maintain the company's Learning Systems to support Group and Business L&D objectives.
- Establish governance for learning content in collaboration with L&D COE.
- Coordinate the global Graduate Programme in partnership with L&D COE, Talent Programme Managers, and Talent Acquisition.
- Source and oversee learning vendors.
- Supervise the learning catalog and allocation processes.
- Address complex L&D and Performance Management queries.
- Ensure compliance of training records and documentation with applicable regulations.
Performance Management:
- Collaborate with HR and management teams to establish performance management frameworks.
- Guide the development of performance management tools and templates.
- Monitor performance coaching and development conversations between managers and employees.
Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:
- Lead L&D Projects to drive continuous improvement and streamline learning management.
- Report on GBS L&D Delivery performance against established KPIs.
- Review post-training evaluations and assessments to enhance training programs.
- Stay updated on emerging learning technologies and industry best practices.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with Talent and Learning COEs and business HR teams for alignment and common standards.
- Foster effective relationships and timely communication with business stakeholders.
- Cultivate working relationships within GBS, outsource providers, vendors, HR, and the wider organization.
Team Management:
- Supervise a team of L&D and Performance Specialists, offering coaching and mentoring for service excellence and professional development.

- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulations and the ability to appropriately assess risk.
- Ability to use experience and judgment to make decisions that may be based on imperfect or incomplete information.
- Ability to recognize trends and identify systemic approaches to solving problems.
- Comfort with ambiguity; strong learning agility mindset to embrace and drive change.
- Demonstratable experience working on a cross-cultural international basis would be an advantage.
