Your role:

As the Backend Development Team Leader for our Development Team, you will lead a team of skilled backend developers, ensuring the successful design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, a passion for data, we are looking for a person who would enjoy also to have hands on the development, and proven experience managing high-performing teams.

We need someone who can work in a collaborative team environment that is geographically spread.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of backend developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews to ensure the team's growth and success.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, architects, front-end developers, and product managers. Backend Development:
•  Oversee the design and development of backend systems, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business objectives.
• Drive the team's adoption of best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to guide the team in making informed technical decisions. Technical Expertise:
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex problem-solving scenarios.
• Collaborate with the architecture team to define and implement the backend architecture strategy.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure the team follows best coding practices.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
