In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
  • Make a meaningful societal impact supporting the strategic planning of Financial Crime Prevention by driving the development of the architectural vision and strategy in collaboration with senior stakeholders, key partners, and other architects.
  • Define the technology solution and environment roadmaps to ensure adequate capacity and scalability, and to establish future capabilities, as demand and usage evolve within the Financial Crime Prevention portfolio.
  • Oversee and ensure that the IT application landscape aligns with strategic needs and objectives, aligning between technical and business strategies to create a clear view of all systems and platforms and how they tie into critical business functions and needs.
  • Be responsible for all architecture decision as well as lead, coordinate and support domain and solution architects working within, and connected with, Financial Crime Prevention.
  • Support an agile development process and foster business agility within the organization and guide the development of architectural governance, ways of working, standards, processes, and tools in accordance with Swedbank frameworks and industry best practice.
  • Actively champion new technologies and innovations to establish industry-leading systems, reduce complexity, improve information flow, and minimize costs.
  • Be part of a fun, diverse, skilled, and international team offering unique opportunities for growth and learning in an expanding department working on a large variety of business-critical deliveries servicing many bank products on a global level.
What is needed in this role:
  • Extensive experience from IT architecture and technology transformations with accompanying repertoire of frameworks, methods and tools and strong knowledge of Application/Data/Integration architecture and Cloud services.
  • Demonstrated experience with architecture modelling and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) as well as ability to develop reference architecture patterns and approaches considering processes, technologies and organizational capabilities.
  • Deep experience and knowledge from the area of Financial Crime (e.g. KYC, AML, Sanctions, Fraud, etc.), experience from banking and/or Swedbank IT landscape is meriting.
  • Good understanding of Information Security, Information Management and Personal Data Protection concepts, regulations, frameworks, and standards to ensure compliance in Swedbank IT environments (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, a customer-centric mindset, business acumen, and excellent communication (to both technical and non-technical audiences) skills.
  • Ability to build networks, collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization in a geographically distributed and diverse environment.
  • A solution-oriented mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Genuine interest for innovation with a curiosity to explore and ability to internalize industry best practices, trends, and business insights from global sources to help shape the architecture roadmap and target.
  • Ability to think big and challenge conventional wisdom while cultivating a culture of openness, transparency, and inclusion as well as build and grow high-performing architecture teams.
  • Experience with ambiguity, strong prioritization skills focusing on business advancement, and willingness to take bets on new technology.
  • Ability to establish, implement, and enforce appropriate standards to meet business requirements
  • Experience of working with external vendor procurements to enable improvement of solutions and impacting business activities.
