Your Role:

About the Team & Business Line: 

Fund + SPV Administration is Citcos core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industrys most respected. Our continuous investment in learning and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver a seamless client experience. As a core member of the CFS European Real Assets team, you will assist the business in developing and executing on its Operational Control and Legal Entity Oversight management framework. You will work closely with local business leads for the European legal entities. As a first line you will also work closely with second- and third-line stakeholders and you will need to identify, assess and propose mitigating actions in close collaboration with the respective stakeholders across CFS and where applicable Group functions.

  • You will report to the EVP, Legal Entity Governance & Oversight Fund Services in Europe 
  • You will build and maintain a constructive and professional relationship with the Real Assets Team, CFS local entity SPV business leads, Group Compliance, Group Risk colleagues and other relevant stakeholders (OCM, legal, finance, etc.); 
  • You will give advice and support the business on Legal Entity Governance, Operational Control, Compliance, (local) legislative initiatives, Outsourcing and Oversight related matters.
  • You will identify, assess and manage any Operational and Legal Entity Risks relating to the European activities of the SPV servicing locations of the CFS Private Equity and Real Assets Business lines.
  • You will be building and monitoring the control framework of the following local legal entity processes: AML, transaction monitoring, data integrity, DAC6, UBO registration, FATCA/CRS, regulatory oversight, policies & procedures, outsourcing and Legal Entity Corporate Governance;
  • You will be identifying, documenting and assessing on a pro-active basis key controls for testing.
  • You will be in charge of operational readiness: coordination of in control matters at hand with key partners including Risk Management, Internal Audit, Compliance and Business Management;
  • You will provide advice to local business leads and the Real Asset Management Team on the handling of Operational Control, Risks and Legal Entity Governance;
  • You will review policies & procedures, work instructions, monitoring reports and make sure all documents that pass your desk are of sufficient quality and legible for those working with them on a daily basis;
  • You will be writing or contributing to CFS and Group Policies, keeping them up to date with new developments and reviewing them on a regular basis;
  • You will be providing training and/or arranging for training to employees regarding the Legal Entity Governance framework, policies & procedures and, legislative changes; 
  •  You will assist and further develop Legal Entity Oversight and Outsourcing arrangements.
  • You will provide periodical reporting and execute the relevant focus points successfully across Europe in CFS SPV servicing locations.

About You:

  • You have a Bachelor or Master level degree in a relevant discipline (law, tax, business, etc.) and at least 5 years of related work experience in Risk & Control, Internal Audit, Compliance, Operational Control, KYC/AML or similar;
  • You have experience in Operational (Risk)Management, Operational Control, Governance and Outsourcing in financial services and/or the funds industry in first, second- or third-line roles;
  • You display strong knowledge of global operational control standards;
  • You have an understanding of Fund + SPV administration and its operational processes globally;
  • You are a curious and investigative person with a strong moral compass;
  • You have a hands-on mentality and track record of building relationships with multiple stakeholders;
  • You have good writing skills (particularly in the context of report, policy, procedure writing and minute taking for any legal entity governance or oversight meetings);
  • You have experience in senior stakeholder management and working with global and diverse teams; 
  • You are a proven solution provider with an innovative approach; 
  • You have strong analytical, research and reporting skills with attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task; 
  • You feel comfortable working individually as well as part of a team; 
  • You consider yourself to be a pro-active and result driven person; PowerBI experience is not essential but desired;
