Introduction

IBM Application Consultants work directly with our clients on key initiatives. You will have the opportunity to build an in-depth understanding of their business issues and implement organizational strategies that drive adoption of change. We are looking for experts who can build credibility and trust with our clients and provide knowledge that addresses individual and unique business needs.

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will work with various projects and clients, working towards client specifications. You will have a real passion for the philosophy of DevOps which theyll be able to use to their advantage and deliver value for our clients. Your role will involve designing and deploying solutions to the cloud which will allow: automatic provisioning and management of environments; the capability to continuously integrate; containerization functionality and the automation of testing.

Responsibilities:

Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

Cloud platforms knowledge, such as: AWS, Azure, Google, IBM Cloud
Containers Orchestration: OpenShift, Kubernetes, etc.
Knowledge of Configuration Management tools: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt, Terraform, etc.
Familiar with CI/CD: Jenkins or Tekton
Knowledge of monitoring tools, such as: Prometeus, Grafana, ELK, DataDog, Splunk.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Knowledge of programming languages
Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
Awareness of Agile principles.
