The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) is an international non-profit organization working to strengthen democracy worldwide. NDIs Vilnius office is currently seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and Subgrants Officer to support our programs. S/he will be assisting M&E / Subgrants Manager in collecting and reporting with program M&E as well as administering subgrants.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Review subgrant applications and ensure they are in full compliance with NDIs and donor requirements;
- Review grantee narrative and financial reports and follow-up with program teams to fix any arising issues;
- Liaise with the field accounting team as well as Subgrant Department and International Accounting: e.g. sending of reports and grant documentation packages, further communication and information clarification, as required;
- Take a lead on administrative and logistical duties to ensure smooth functioning of NDIs reporting and data collection systems, including but not limited to: data collection from program teams, data entry and database management;
- Contribute to the development of regular and healthy communication with program staff and implementing partners on M&E- and subgrants-related issues;
- Maintain and update M&E and subgrants-related online tools;
- Contribute to the development of program proposals design and report writing to donors;
- Support the functioning of a well-organized and structured document management system.
Skills and qualifications:
- At least two years of work experience in a relevant area;
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Russian;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
- High level of oral and written communication skills;
- Experience with designing and employing evaluation tools and methods such as questionnaires, interviews, focus groups, and others;
- Professional experience of working with database systems is an advantage;
- Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience.
