Credit Decision Maker ensures customer needs, business targets and risk appetite oriented approach to processes and makes credit decisions for various types of loans and leasing products. Lending Competence Center Unit handles credit applications in a timely and professional manner and bring credit matters and customer experience to the next level.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide professional analysis of prepared credit memos (including customer risk assessment and making decision based on credit strategy), defending made decision at high level decision-making authority, as well as submitting all documents required for monitoring the credit quality based on the credit policy.
  • Support and provide solutions for sales units in complex credit cases.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and achievement of individual and team targets, KPI related to lending area.
  • Initiate improvements of lending processes, creating value for both the customer and the bank.
  • Ensure data quality and provide input of different datas in bank systems and programs regarding existing quality standards and procedures.
  • Professional analysis of prepared credit memos (including customer risk assessment and decision.
  • Strictly follow and work accordingly to existing procedures, instructions, ethic code and other related legal requirements; Ensure that customers are served in accordance with policies (KYC, AML and compliance etc.) and concepts.
  • Take responsibility for professional self-development and improving team performance by providing feedback and recommendations.
  • Inform about suspicious and unusual deals or transactions of customers.
  • Inform direct manager or department manager and operational risk management about operational risk incidents, frauds, mistakes, and cases that can cause financial or reputation risks or can lead to loses within action or inaction of employees.
  • Making decisions according to Power to act.
  • Analyzing companies and their owners` income to grant the credit. Analyzing non-standard incomes (annual income declarations, royalties etc.).
  • Monitoring unsecured loans decisions accordingly to the credit policy and strategy (not relevant for leasing decision makers).

Skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of banking lending products and services.
  • Strong analytical skills (customer financial and operational analysis).
  • Knowledge of gathering, systematizing and presenting information.
  • Decision-making and initiative.
  • Orientation to optimal sales and financial performance.
  • Ability to find reasonable balance between business and credit risk appetite.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, fluency in Lithuania language and English (both oral and written).
