Summary:
Dexcoms Global Product Design (GPD) is a multi-disciplinary team of user experience designers, visual designers, front-end software developers, prototype developers, instructional content designers and industrial designers who support the Dexcom product portfolio. Our newly formed GPD Studio in Vilnius is seeking an experienced iOS Front End Engineer to bring product ideas to life through high-fidelity prototypes and design system-backed UI component libraries.
As part of the design studio, youll work independently & alongside design, engineering, and product partners; youll create reference implementations of current flagship products and new-to-market initiatives. You will apply your eye for detail and passion for UI to make the impossible possible! Your work will accelerate design thinking and product innovation and demonstrate what can be delivered to our customers through front-end engineering excellence. You will leverage your deep knowledge of design systems and component libraries to inform how you prototype and build to facilitate a true design-to-production workflow.

About the Role:
- You will build high-fidelity, functional prototypes that represent the ideal product experience for our customers.
- You will accelerate design thinking and product innovation through rapid, iterative prototyping.
- You will be an advocate for design and design engineering best practices, demonstrating through code how to support design iteration and design change over time.
- You excel at building partnerships and will be a critical liaison between GPD and our partner engineering teams.
About You:
- You have 5+ years of Swift experience and 3+ years of SwiftUI experience.
- You can demonstrate a breadth of UI-layer experience on the iOS platform.
- You have experience with rapid prototyping and can speak to the differences between production and prototyping philosophies.
- Youve worked with multi-disciplinary design teams and are passionate about design-to-engineering collaboration best practices.
- You have experience building design systems and can speak to industry-standard best practices for key UI-layer concepts (e.g. theming, motion, accessibility, touch and interactivity, sensor and peripheral integration).
- You bring a solid understanding of software design patterns (MVC/MVP/MVVM), industry best practices, and coding standards.
- You bring demonstrated experience applying Clean Code, Clean Architecture and SOLID principles.
- You bring a strong understanding of Apples design principles and application interface guidelines.
- Youre comfortable in new environments and welcome the challenge of joining a newly formed team.
- You dont mind adjusting your work hours to facilitate effective collaboration with team members in different time zones, including regular participation in meetings during US East and West Coast business hours.
